TNEA online registration for admissions to the engineering courses for the academic year 2016-17 begins on April 15: Anna University Annouced

annaunivAnna University will start online registration for admissions to the engineering courses for the academic year 2016-17 on April 15.
Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2016-17) is conducted by Anna University, Chennai for admission in B Tech/ BE courses at various colleges/ institutions across Tamil Nadu.
The admission process of applicants will be done either through the rank of students in Anna University TNEA 2016 exam or JEE Main 2016 exam.
Anna University TNEA 2016 examination will be held in June 2016. Through this entrance exam, around 2.5 lakh seats in 535 engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu will be filled.
Eligibility criteria for Anna University TNEA 2016:
Applicants should be a resident of Tamil Nadu. Those students If you belong to outside of Tamil Nadu but have done schooling from Tamil Nadu you may apply.
Candidates who do not belong to the state but have completed Class VIII, IX, X, XI & XII from the state are also eligible to apply.
Kids of those persons who have been doing job in Tamil Nadu either in private sector or government sector from last five years are eligible to apply for Anna University TNEA 2016.
Applicants must have cleared class 12th or equivalent examination along with subjects Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and secured 50% aggregate marks (for general category candidates), 40% (MBC & DNC category candidates), 45% (for backward class including Muslim) and 35% (for SC/ST/SCA category candidates).
