Bangalore University invites Applications from eligible candidates for its Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme : Last date to apply for all programmes is April 30

Bangalore University has released a notification inviting all interested, eligible candidates to take admission to the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme offered in the faculty of Arts , Engineering , Science, Commerce, Law and Education for the commencing academic session.

Eligibility criteria for Bangalore University Admission:

Educational Qualification for Bangalore University Admission:

All the candidates interested in applying must possess a post-graduate degree in a relevant discipline from a recognised university with at least 55 percent.

Applicants who have passed the University Grants Commission (UGC)/ UGC-CSIR-JRF/ National Eligibility Test (NET)/ Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SLET)/ KSET/ Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) (during validity period with required score)/Master of Philosophy (M.Phil) degree through regular course work and not through distance education mode/ project fellows in sponsored major research are also eligible to apply. However, these applicants will directly give personal interview.

Selection procedure for for Bangalore University Admission:

Applicants will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination conducted by the university.

Application fee for for Bangalore University Admission:

All the candidates need to pay Rs 2000 for each application.

How to apply for for Bangalore University Admission:

All the candidates need to apply online on the website, www.bangloreuniversity.in.

Applicants are requested to fill in the form through prescribed format only.

After submitting the application, candidates need to take print out of the application.

The photocopy of the application need to be sent at 'The Registrar (Evaluation), Ph.D Section, Pareeksha Bhavan, Jnanabharathi Campus, Bangalore University, Bengaluru - 560 056'.

Important dates:

The last date to apply for all programmes is April 30.

The entrance test will be held on May 29.
