keaThe Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will be conducting the Common Entrance Test (CET) on May 4 and May 5, as per the new schedule released. The application process for the same has begun and will be in continuation for a period of one month.

The candidates willing to apply can check the 4-step application process listed below:

Step 1: The candidates should download the e-brochure from KEA Website, http://kea.kar.nic.in and read the instructions carefully before starting to enter the application online. Thereafter, the candidates should select the tab "CET-2016 UG Online Application" and fill in the required details. After completion of entry of all the details, the candidates will receive an application ID and Password to their registered mobile phone number and email address, and the same information will also be displayed on the screen.

Step 2: The candidates should then upload the scanned copy of their recent passport size colour photograph, signature and left hand thumb impression in JPG/JPEG format separately.

Step 3: Later, the CET candidates should print the challan copy which is in triplicate. Candidates of Karnataka origin have to pay an amount of Rs 650 for General and OBC category (Rs 500 for SC/ST Category-1 of Karnataka candidates only), Rs750 in case of candidates residing outside the state of Karnataka and Rs 5,000 in case of candidates residing outside India. The candidates are required to pay the requisite fee in any of the branches of the Banks prescribed. The bank will retain bank copy of the Challan and handover the remaining two copies of the Challan to the candidates. The candidates who are residing outside India shall pay the fees in the form of Demand Draft drawn in favour of Executive Director, Karnataka Examinations Authority, payable at Bangalore. The demand draft should be sent to KEA address by mentioning the application number.

Step 4: Take a printout of the application form on A-4 size paper. Then, obtain the principal's seal and signature from the college where you have studied Class 12, on the space provided in the printed form. The same copy should be produced during document verification.

The CET candidates should note down their application ID and Password until the completion of filling of the online application. The candidates have to enter all the required details in the form, failing which their application will not be considered. Also, applications without photo and signature will not be considered as valid. Candidates are not allowed to edit their application after selecting declaration/taking the final printout.

It is held for admissions to professional courses, including Medical, Dental, Ayush courses (ICM&H), Engineering, Architecture, Farm science, B-Pharma Pharma-D, besides others.

Commencement of filling the applications online: January 13
Last Date to enter application details online: February 13
Last date to pay the fees in the banks: February 15
Downloading of admission tickets on or after: April 15
