Indian Institute of Science Education and Research IISER invites Applications for Admission 2017

iiserIndian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), invites applications for the programmes in the areas of Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Earth & Environmental Science and Humanities and Social Sciences for the academic session beginning in January 2017.

Eligibility criteria for IISER Admission 2017 :

Educational qualification for IISER Admission 2017 :

Those interested in applying should possess a Master's degree/BTech/MBBS/MTech with a good academic record and should be GATE/ CSIR or UGC-NET/ JEST/ NBHM-JRF/JGEEBILS (TIFR/NCBS)/ GPAT/ ICMR-JRF/ DBT-JRF/DST-INSPIRE qualified in the relevant subject.

Department of Biological Sciences: Aspirants should have pursued MSc/ BTech/ MBBS/ MTech or equivalent degree.

Department of Chemical Sciences: Aspirants should be holding an MSc degree in chemistry/physics (with a minimum of 55 per cent marks) or equivalent degree.

Department of Mathematical Sciences: Aspirants applying should have qualified one of the following examinations GATE/CSIR-UGC-NET/NBHM-JRF with Mathematics as the primary subject.

Department of Physical Sciences: Aspirants applying should be holding a Master's degree in physics or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in engineering.

Department of Earth and Environmental Sciences: Aspirants applying should have pursued MSc/ BTech/ MTech in atmospheric sciences/earth and environmental sciences/ chemistry/physics.

Department of Humanities and Social Sciences: Aspirants applying should have pursued MA/MSc/MPhil degree (with a minimum of 55 per cent marks) in one or more of the subjects.

Selection procedure for IISER Admission 2017 :

Aspirants will be called for an interview on the basis of their applications.
