National Eligibility Test

The information of University Grants commission regarding the National Eligibility Test meant for the post of Assistant professors made the Assistant Professor aspirants worried. The reason being the result of NET held on December 29 last year not declared yet. At this juncture, the university Grants commission has called for applications for the NET to be held on June 29, and May 5 is the last date for the submission of application.

University Grants commission normally conducts NET examination two times a year. Respectly on June and December. Normally the result of the examination will be announced by the end of March. The University Grants Commission called for applications for NET exam without declaring the result of earlier examinations.

The last date for applying online and for generator of filled bank challans for the fee is May 5, 2014. The fee must be paid by the applicants on or before May 7 and take a print of the application form attendance slip and admit card from UGC web site,

before May 10. It is also possible by the candidates to get a print of the online application form and attendance slip at the co-ordinating university released by them with fee receipt and category certificate.

The NET test consists of 3 papers with multiple choice questions. The examination will be conducted in two sessions each of two and half hours duration. The test will be co-ordinated by 86 universities including Bharthidasan University, Bharthiyar University, Madras University and Madurai Kamaraj University.
