Health survey by Loyola College

Loyola College, the reputed college in Chennai, In Tamil Nadu organizes a project survey and research to study the status of children, youth, women and senior citizens regarding their health issues and deficiency of nutritious food related issues are concerned. This survey is a part of their college of excellence project. This project, the Institution is supposed to submit to university grants commission (UGC). A sample of about 10,000 people will be taken in to consideration in the near by areas of the colleges Nungambakkam, Kodambakkam and Choolaimedu. The project will be expanded to other parts of the city in the later stage Prof. S. Vincent the director of Loyala Institute of Frontier Energy (Life) stated that these data can be shared with Government organizations also to sort out the related issues. Some more projects are also planned according to the sources of Loyola College. Rev. Dr. G. Joseph Anthony samy, the principal of college while explaining about other projects that the colleges plans to form a bio diversity resource cell to help the students and researches in the process of identification of economically important plants, endangered animal species and micro organisms.
