JEE Main 2017 Exam Dates Announced

jeemain2017JEE Main 2017 Exam Dates have been announced on the official website, the link for which is www.jeemain.nic.in

As per schedule, the 5th Joint Entrance Examination JEE Main 2017 Examination will be conducted on (Sunday) April 2, 2017.

JEE Main 2017 Exam will be held by the Central Board of Secondary Education for Admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.

Last date to register for the JEE Main 2017 Exam will be January 2, 2017.

Detailed information regarding the JEE Main 2017 Exam Syllabus, Eligibility criteria to appear, examination fee, cities of examination, will be available on JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in on December 1, 2016.

New developments in JEE Main and JEE Advanced 2017:

From the academic year 2017, for both JEE Main and JEE Advanced examination, normalised score of class 12th marks will not be considered to determine JEE Main All India Ranks

Also, 20000 more students will be able to apply for JEE Advanced 2017. This implies that the 2,20,000 aspirants who clear JEE Main will be eligible to take JEE Advanced 2017

According to the official website of JEE Main 2017, aspirants planning to take the JEE Main should hold an Aadhaar Card issued by UIDAI. The website states, "All the Indian citizen aspirants should have AADHAAR card issued by UIDAI.

At the time of filling application form of JEE (Main)-2017, the aspirants will have to enter their AADHAAR number, name, date of birth and gender which will be validated with the UIDAI's data.

In case, these particulars do not match, the aspirants will not be able to fill the application form for JEE (Main)-2017. Therefore, the aspirants need to ensure that their AADHAAR card must have correct details of their name, date of birth and gender as per school records.

If there is some mismatch in these details, the aspirants should immediately get it corrected in AADHAAR data or school records, as the case may be."
