universityUniversity of Calcutta (CU)-Kolkata has released an official notification inviting all the interested, eligible candidates to take admission in various courses such as Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) and Bachelor of Arts (B.A) for the session 2016.

Eligibility criteria for University of Calcutta (CU)-Kolkata:

Educational qualification for University of Calcutta (CU)-Kolkata:

All the candidates interested in taking admission must be class 12 pass from a recognised university/board not earlier than 2011. Also, the candidates should have passed English as a subject.

All the candidates interested in applying for the Food and Nutrition programme, should core minimum 50 percent in aggregate and 45 percent in the subject or related subjects at the previous qualifying examination.

Selection procedure for University of Calcutta (CU)-Kolkata:

B.A and B.Sc programme: All the applicants seeking admissions for this course will be selected on the basis of the total marks obtained of the best four subjects in the class 12 examination.

B.Sc (Human Development) programme: The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of merit list will be prepared on the basis of total marks obtained of the best four subjects other than EVS in Class 12 examination.

Application fee:

All the candidates from the General/OBC category need to pay Rs 100 for each application form while candidates from SC/ST/PWD category need to pay Rs 50 only.

The applicant is requested to fill all the details in prescribed format only
The copy of online submitted application should be sent to the university
The application with other documents should reach, the office of the Secretary at 20B Judges Court Road, Alipore, Kolkata-700027.
