jeeResults for the Joint Entrance Exam (Main) Paper 1 have been declared on the official website. The paper based exam was conducted on April 3 whereas, the computer based exam was held on April 9 and April 10 by the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT).

This year, over 11 lakh students sat for JEE Main exam, which was conducted in 129 cities in India and abroad.

This year, the cut-off has been dropped than the last year - 100 for general category, 70 for OBC, 52 for SC category and 48 for ST.

According to the official notification, candidates can check below the detailed information about the result and score:

The score of Paper-I of JEE (Main) 2016 has been declared on the official website. The score shall comprise the actual marks obtained in Paper-I of JEE (Main)-2016 along with the status of those who qualify for appearing in JEE (Advanced) 2016 provided and subject to other conditions of eligibility being met;
Separately, on the basis of score in JEE (Main) 2016 and normalised score in Class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam (60 percent and 40 percent weightage respectively), separate rank lists will be prepared for admissions to BE/B. Tech. and B. Arch/B. Planning (in institutions other than IITs). This will be declared on or before June 30. The rank card indicating All India Rank, State Rank and category rank with total marks and marks in each paper will be available on JEE (Main) website after the declaration of result
Only the All India Rank (AIR) is used for admissions through Central Seat Allocation Board to NITs/IIITs/CFTIs/SFIs/others, while other ranks are for information purposes
No score/rank card will be dispatched to the candidates and the candidates are advised to download their score/rank cards from the official website, the link for which is jeemain.nic.in
In case of a tie, i.e. when two or more candidates obtain equal marks (by giving 60 percent weightage to performance in JEE (Main) and 40 percent weightage to normalised marks in Class 12 or equivalent qualifying examination), inter-se merit of such candidates shall be decided in the following order:
Rank list for admission to B.E/B.Tech(in institutions other than IITs):

Resolution by marks obtained in mathematics, JEE (Main)-2016. The candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank
Resolution by marks obtained in Physics in the JEE (Main)-2016. The candidate obtaining higher marks will be given better rank
Resolution by total normalised qualifying exam marks. The candidates obtaining higher normalised marks will be given better rank
Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. The candidates having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank
If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, the candidates will be given the same rank.
Rank list for admission to B.Arch/B.Planning(in institutions other than IITs):

Resolution by marks obtained in Aptitude Test in Paper-2 (B.Arch./B.Planning.) in JEE (Main)-2016. The candidates obtaining higher marks will be given a better rank
Resolution by total normalised qualifying exam marks. The candidates obtaining higher normalised marks will be given better rank
Resolution by finding the ratio of positive marks and negative marks. The candidates having higher absolute value of the ratio will be given better rank
If the resolution is not possible after this criterion, the candidates will be given the same rank.
