Text Box:  Painting and decorating is a multi-faceted skill with several job opportunities. A creative person can become a painter and decorator with special effect and wall papering skills, a sign writer, Interior Designer, Owner-Manager, Estimator or Contracts Manager to name some of the options.

B.Education Guide

Education Details & Eligibility:

To become a professional in the painting industry one should have a graduate degree (B.F.A) or at least a diploma in Painting. The degree and postgraduate degree courses are offered by private and government arts colleges in India and around the globe.

Basic eligibility criteria:

+2 (Higher Secondary students) with any group as the major can choose Bachelor degree Fine Arts in Painting (B.F.A).

Course Duration:

The course duration for the various programs is as follows:

  • Diploma in Painting is two years.
  • B.A, B.F.A (Painting) is Four years.
  • M.A, M.F.A (Painting) is a two-year program in various universities.

Approximate Education Expenses:

The total expense for doing Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting at Government arts colleges is as follows

  • B.F.A - Rs.1500/ per year - (4 Years)
  • M.F.A - Rs.1700/ per year - (2 Years)

Bank loans and private loans can be easily arranged by directly contacting the banks through the college administration.

Almost all the deemed and general universities offer Bachelor degree in Painting.
