delhiIn a first, the Delhi University is all set to host a three-day 'gender fair' from Thursday, where boys and men will stand shoulder to shoulder with girls and women to question and bust stereotypes associated with issues related to gender equality.

Delhi University Miranda House is organizing the mela in collaboration with MenEngage Delhi, an alliance of NGOs working with men to promote gender equality.

Speaking about the event, Akash, a volunteer associated with CFAR-Wajood initiative, on stopping domestic violence, said that the fair is for "connecting with youth in different parts of the city so that we stop being bystanders and do our bit to better to improve gender equality," PTI reported.

The initiative has been taken to give the youth a platform to connect with people of different views and explore various issues and clarify them with the guidance from the experts and faculty.

"The initiative will provide young people with the space to bond with peers, set new learning goals, explore multiple issues, clarify their values and, last but not the least, do all of this with the necessary support and guidance from faculty and experts," said Bijayalaxmi Nanda, while speaking on behalf of Women's Development Cell, Miranda House.
