Boy from Poor family cleared AIPMT Exam

aipmtA 19-year-old aspirant, whose father works as a wager at Jodhpur railway station, has cleared the All India Pre-Medical Test (AIPMT) by securing 285 rank. Kheraj Choudhary, native of Sarnu Seemanji village in Barmer district, did not even have electricity connection at his home. Till class VIII he studied at the village school after which his father, Jugataram Choudhary, shifted him to Jodhpur for further studies while he worked as a wager at the railway station.

Jugataram, who holds a Bachelor of Education (B.ED) degree but started working as a wager since he did not get a government job, motivated his son to get him admitted in a AIPMT coaching institute for the preparation of medical entrance exam if he score more than 75 per cent marks in class XII. Kheraj scored 79 per cent marks in the class XII exam, and his father admitted him in a AIPMT coaching institute.

"My father admitted in a coaching institute in Kota for which he tried to collect the fee amount from every possible source," Kheraj said. He further said that "I had spent my entire time in Kota wearing the uniform of the AIPMT coaching institute as I did not have money to buy another pair of clothes."

Kheraj said he dedicates his success to his father and teachers. Kheraj is now hopeful of getting an admission either in Sawai Man Singh Medical college or Jodhpur medical college. The AIPMT results were announced on August 17, 2015.
