Ministry of Ayush to Launch Yoga Research Institute

yogaIn an initiative to promote Yoga, the Minister of State (I/C) for AYUSH has announced that it will launch the Central Research Institute for Yoga and Naturopathy (CRIYN). Two places, Haryana’s Jhajjar district and Nagmangla of Karnataka have been selected for the construction.

The Minister of State (I/C) for AYUSH, Shripad Yesso Naik, revealed this information while replying to a question in the Rajya Sabha. Since then the International Yoga Day was celebrated recently, the government has been planning a series of things to bring Yoga as a compulsory and alternative healthcare system. According to official sources from the Ministry of AYUSH, over one hundred yoga institute has been offering courses on Yoga at various levels in our country.

The Ministry of AYUSH has also launched Morarji Desai National Institute of Yoga, an autonomous organisation, at New Delhi. Recently, the CBSE has also included Yoga as a subject for its school students.
