Girls beat Boys in Uttar Pradesh Class XII Results

The girl students of Uttar Pradesh class XII once again outshinined the boys in the class XII UP board results announced on Sunday. Eight students secured positions out of top 20 students in the city. Four students each of Pandit Raghunath Prasad Mishra Inter College and Onkareshwar Inter College made their place in the top 20. It was for the first time that results of classes X and XII were announced in one go.

In the top 20 list of Uttar Pradesh class XII Exam Results, 16 were the girl students while remaining were the boys. Five students from the 16th to 20th spot bagged 95 per cent marks each. Pragati Singh of Pandit Raghunath Prasad Mishra Inter College topped in the city with 96.6 per cent marks. She scored 483 marks out of 500. Shweta Verma of Shivaji Inter College, Keshav Nagar, was on the second spot with 96.4 per cent marks. She scored a total of 482 marks out of 500 and got the highest marks in physics and computer.

Akhand Pratap Singh of Onkareshwar Inter College, Jawahar Nagar was also on the second spot. He also scored 96.4 per cent with highest marks in computer. On the fourth spot was Mini Chaurasia who scored 481 marks out of 500. She secured 96.2 per cent. Mini is a student of PT RPM Inter College. The fifth spot was bagged by Sadhana Sahu, a student of Shivaji Inter College, Keshav Nagar, who scored 480 marks out of 500 (96 per cent).

Prachi Tripathi and Vishnu Chaurasia of Shivaji Inter College and Shankaranand Inter College, Sarsual, respectively bagged 95.8 and 95.4 per cent marks. These students remained on the sixth and the seventh position in the top 20 in the city.
Five students, namely Vishnu, Gauri Omar of Shivaji Inter College, Priyanka Singh Sengar of Shivaji Inter College, Akansha Verma of PT RPM Inter College and Aniruddh Kumar of Onkareshwar Inter College, scored 95.4 per cent marks.

The teachers said that the marks given to the students in abundance is an effort to make Uttar Pradesh class XII students parallel to the ICSE and CBSE board students who get ample marks in both class X and XII.
