Education system towards India's concept

Central Government of India takes efforts to frame a new Education policy. The present ruling party BJP’s mentor RSS offers a helping hand to from this new Education policy.

The focus is to Indianise the current Education system. The Bhartiya Shikshan Mandal, known as BSM is an affiliated body by RSS. This organization has prepared an Education policy and the object of this policy is to Indianise the current Education system.

The recent development in this regard is BSM is planning to conduct an International conference between January 17 and 18, 2015 at University of Rajasthan, Jaipur during which it is planner to discuss and debate about the new proposed National policy. BSM function having its head quarters at Nagpur.

What is this New Proposed New Policy?

The present 10 + 2 +3 system was proposed by Kothari commission in 1968. The BSM proposed 8+4+3 pattern what is this proposal?

The first 8 years will be in General Education and the first language would be respective mother tongue, English and Hindi will be additional languages. The subjects included will be Mathematics, General science, social studies, physical Education, work and cleanliness and ethical education and social service as the seventh subject.

In this system, if a student want to leave the school, he can after completing VIII std, he can take admissions in ITI’s and according to the suggestions the ITI’s will be opened at village level to offer facilities to the students to learn any of the vocational subjects or trade for a period of 18 months. It is suggested to offer those candidates to provide practical training for a period of 6 months in the vocational subject or trade which they have studies.

Why this change is proposed? It is said that in the present system a candidate to complete Education ahs to undergo the study of 10+2+3 structure. They are not given any flexibility to leave in the middle. He cannot rejoin any course also.

Is there any other flexibility other than in VIII completion?

According to the drafting of BSM, a student will be given flexibility to leave education system, and can rejoin in any stage. This kind of flexibility is possible even in 3 year under graduation stage of college Education.

Then, what is the proposed structure drafted by BSM?

1. 1 year degree pass        certificate

2. 2 years pass                  diploma

3. 3 years pass                 degree

4. 4 years pass               honors degree

BSM anticipates that the flexibility will be helpful for the students to have school and college at any level depending open his needs, circumstances and interest.

It is expected by BSM that this system will be helpful the college Education System besides flexible also job oriented.

The draft says, the students can select a subject of their choice right from IX standard and can have compulsory practical training.
