CAT - Question papers

Whenever, any examinations are over, there will be discussions about the question papers, whether it is easily or tough. The level of difficulties depends upon the method of preparation. If a candidate look in to the syllabus of the examination, are prepare seriously, the point of easy or tough will never arise. When the candidates prepare the exclusively point of view only, then only they may feel the paper is tough. Regarding any examinations are concerned with, there is no question of something expected or unexpected. The students must be in a position to face the examinations whatever may be standard of the question paper. Unfortunately the students are habituating themselves, to try to pass the examination, with least possible strain. They try to learn the syllabus, without making then ready for fundamental concepts or learning basic properly.

CAT examinations conducted recently is one of the examinations to select the students to be admitted in top-B schools of the country including Indian institute of management.

This year the students who faced CAT exam literary find that the questions under mathematics, and data representation tough.

The students felt that there are more unexpected questions in the question papers in spite of flexible charges of Indian Instituted of management in setting the papers.

Around 1000 students wrote the test in Chennai in computer based mode few students felt that the time to answer few questions is lengthy and they could not finish the paper in stipulated time. Few felt that mathematics difficult and complex questions were asked in Data Interpretation. Many felt difficulty in answering the questions under English logical reasoning. It is felt, in general, that the difficulty level ranges from moderate to complicate. Few candidates said that the quantitative Aptitude division was easy. In fact, according to the aspiring candidates, the questions asked were aimed to test the analytical skill level of the students. It is observed, the question paper was challenging too many students only in to the caption logical reasoning.

CAT - was conducted only on two days November 16 and November 22. In two sessions, morning and afternoon in each day. There were remarkable changes in the question papers. The number of questions was each section, say quantities Ability & Data interpretation, verbal Ability & Logical reasoning have increased from 30 to 50 in each section. The time duration for the letters test is also increased from 140 minutes to 170 minutes.
