Funds allocation for Nalandha

Sushma Swaraj, the Union minister for External affairs declared that the Government has allocated Rs.2727 crores for the development of historical famous Nalantha University in Bihar.

This historical world famous Nalandha University was destroyed in twelfth century by the army of Turkey. Now the University is formed 12 km from the runis of Nalantha at Rajgir.

Now Nalandha is taking off with 15 students and 6 professors for, Aug 1, after 800 long years.

Nalandha was formally inaugurated by Sushma Swaraj. She described Nalandha, beyond the University is a status of our country and a symbol of tradition and culture. It is decided to admit students also from East Asian countries. The earlier Government has allotted 455 acres of land for this university, and the present Govt has allotted Rs.2727 crores for its promotion and further development. The minister said that the infrastructure will be completed with in 10 years of period. The chief Minister of Bihar, Jithamram Manji said that an airport should be incorporated to facilitate the arrival of scholars from different countries.

The function was attended by the officials from the countries Singapore, Thailand, Australia, Vietnam, Germany, Japan, Laos and Anil Vathwa, the secretary for External a affairs and the Goba Subarval the vice chancellor
