Pitch Book Data is a United States based Private equity and venture capital Research firm. This firm found in it’s study that the Indian Institute of Technologies had a total of 264 companies and raised In to total $ 3.15 billion.

Based on this finding the Indian Institute of Technologies are in the IV ranking in the list of entrepreneurial undergraduate Institutes in the world. This is stated by Smriti Irani, the Union Human Resource minister Smriti Irani.

It is also referred that Indian Institutes of Technologies of India have been placed and ranked better and higher than. Some of the best UD IRY League Universities like Harvard. The minister added that the basic factors responsible to take the country in the path of progress are knowledge and entrepreneurship. The minister referred that the curriculum should be revised to achieve this and make it to fit to the current requirements of the to-day’s society. She said that the students should be shipped, to face the domestic requirements of the country, besides they should be mode to face the needs and challenges internationally.

She is very much interested to develop the entrepreneurial focus in the minds of school and college students. But she also expressed her deep desire to induce this expectation to be satisfied through the teaching materials also.

The minister is very particular the education method should be blended with knowledge, analytical skills and logical reasoning. These skills should be cultivated to the students in such a way to develop the entrepreneurial qualities. She wants to promote innovative collaboration among organizations, industries and universities.
