National Education Policy

The new BJP Government under the leadership of Narendra Modi is specific in drafting New National Policy. The government is particular in this moves and also interest to involves all the sector for framing the policy which include states, parents, students and educationalists.

Actually the education policy which is in force now was framed on 1986 and was amended I 1992. The government is interested to focus mainly the curriculum.

Smriti irani, the union Human Resource Development Minister said that the government is making plans schedules to create norms for the new Education policy.

The minister had meetings with the directors of Indian Institute of managements and Indian Institute of Technologies regarding this. 10 important goals are identified to the proposed Education policy. The aims for this policy include nationally relevant themes. The themes also include health care, energy sustainable urban design, Nano technology, electronic hard ware, defence, affordable housing.

Water resources and advance materiel. The minister said that time bound action will be initiated to take the concepts to the students who are studying in Government school.

A scheme in the name “Shala Darpar” will be initiated to keep the parents updated about the activities of the students.

Another program in the name “shala Utsav” will be introduced to ask the state governments to identify the old schools in their areas to observe foundation day.

Another major program in launching of massive open on line courses in which the faculties of IIT’s and IIM’s as well as central universities will be in on line. Normal fees will be charged for on line certificate course. The concept named as “swayam” would be started on September 25, the birth anniversary of sangh ideologue Deen Dayal Upadhyaya. The minister also promised the WIFI facilities throughout the country.
