RTI doubts - 'get the response in Hindi' is it Correct?

V. Gopalakrishnan, an activity of RTI opposed the response and reply in Hindi for the queries in English? Why should this forceful imposition? Almost all the political parties in Tamil Nadu start fighting and opposing the Imposition of Hindi by the Central Government. The RTI people are facing difficulties in getting replies from the central Government. The replies are particularly in Hindi from the public information officers while the questions and queries in Tamil Nadu is in English. Mr. V. Gopalakrishnan told central Government officials prefer to reply only Hindi for the petitions which are in English.

In fact, the RTI activities are sending their queries, specifically requesting that they want the reply only in English which are ignored totally.

According to Gopalakrishnan, he has received this kind of Hindi replies for petitions in English from Income Tax departments and Public works Departments. He expresses his difficulty that some replies carries was Hindi numerals. He insisted and demanded the needy reply in English. In the same way the President of Anglo Indian Suburban front and RTI activity Augustine Roy Rozario said that, he received Hindi replies from the Union Minster statistics and programme implementation and National Highway Authority. In this he requested information about member of parliament of that area regarding the development funds and about Chennai Thiruvallur widening. According to the activities that this is the violation or article 328.

The section 6 (I) of the RTI act says that an applicant seeking information can make a request in writing or through electronic means in English or Hindi in the official language of the area in which the applied in mode. The demand is if an applicant filed an RTI application in English, the CPTO should provide information only in English and not in Hindi.
