Forestry courses and Veterinary courses

When compared to science and Engineering the demand for forestry is less. The recruiting polices of the Government is frequently charging, and this aerates lot of unemployment for the qualified students of forestry. Hundreds of qualified students are jobless now. For the last few years, no recruitment is done in government departments. Even for the forest rangers post, graduates of computer science and engineering graduates are considered. But the question is, graduates are considered. But the question is, in reverse will engineering companies or government engineering compares take students from biology or botany qualifications. All the forests are owned by the state government and wild life sanctuaries are a subject of central government and job opportunities for students of forestry and wild life biology should be considered only by Government organizations.

But, now the veterinary courses claim high demand comparatively. In particular Animal husbandry and poultry technology are in increase. The cut off marks for veterinary has gone about 200%. TANUVAS sold around 6000 applications, but the number has gone up to 18698.

In the admission process for 200 seats at two institutions Madras Veterinary college and the university at Namakkal which are under way, there is a gradual rise in students opting this courses like animal husbandry and poultry technology.
