Admissions in Deemed Universities in Tamil Nadu

The deemed universities are active in admitting students for Engineering and Medical Courses. These are 570 Engineering colleges in Tamil Nadu in which these are two lacs seats which could be allotted by counseling single window process. The numbers of seats are sufficient enough to give admission to almost all the applicants. Of course, there may be constraints in getting the desired colleges desired groups, but gathering seat is certain. The free seats are given based on the Ranking list of Anna University for Government colleges. The ranking will be decided by the marks sc scored by the students in XII examinations.

Regarding self financial private collegesconcerned, 60% of the seats will be filled by Government counseling process, and it is 50% in the case of language and Religious minority institution. The rest of the seats will be filled by management Quota of the respective colleges. It is expected the rules and regulations to be followed by the self financed colleges will be announced by Justice N.V. Balasubramanian committee.

At this juncture, the deemed universities are in full swing to admit the students in their colleges. The deemed universities organized their own Entrance Examinations to admit the students.

It is expected that the application forms for Engineering Counseling for Anna University will be issued from May be Anna University, subsequently the applications for Medical Admissions will be issued by Directorate of Medical Education. In the same way, the applications will be used by Tamil Nadu Agriculture University for Agricultural studies. The Tamil Nadu Veterinary University will issue applications for veterinary Science courses.
