Eligibility
  • Indian Citizen, Persons of Indian origin (PIO) / Overseas of India (OCI) Card holders
  • Keralites or non Keralites
    Applicants of Keral origin are Keralites other are
    Non - Keralities
    Both Keralites and Non - Keralites are eligible.
  • A candidate is a keralite for the limited purpose of elibiglity for admission of

    1) The candidate or the candidates father / mother was born in Kerala (or)
    2) The candidate has been a resident of Kerala, for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years (or)
    3) The candidates has undergone his / her school studies from VIII to XII in Kerala
    4) Candidates who are children of All India services (AIS) offers allotted to Keral Cadre, (Kerala States)
    5) Non - Keralites are classfied as

    • 1) Non - Keralit Category I
    • 2) Non Kerala Category II

Non - Keralite I : Those who have undergone qualifying course in Kerala and who are the Sons / daughters of employees of Govt of India or employees who are serving in connection with the affairs of the Govt of Kerala, Suspect to that, they have served for a minimum period of 2 years or have served in connection with the affairs of the Government of Kerala for a minimum period of 2 years.

Such candidates will be eligible for admission to the Government seats under, 'State Merit' only, for all the courses, which are filled on the basis of rank in Entrance Examinations or the rank list prepared by giving equal weightage to the marks in NATA and qualifying examination.

Candidates who do not belong to 'Keralite' or 'Non Keralite-I' will be treated as Non Keralite category-II. They are eligible for admission only to the State Merit seats in the private self financing Engineering colleges in the State and in the Management Institutions, spoonsored by Government. Non Keralite candidates will not be considered for admission against reserved seats.

Academic Qualification

Pass in HSc / equivalent examination with 50% marks in Biology and 50% marks in PCB put together.

Eligibility of B.Sc Degree holders

B.Sc.with one of the subjects Physics, Chemistry, Zoology, Botany, Bio Chemistry of main and any one or two of these subjects as subsidiaries with 50% marks for main and subsidraries taken together, provided they have passed the H.Sc. or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects.

Relaxation

5% marks in qualifying exams is allowed for sociality educationality Backward classes and OEC category whose annual family income is upto 2.5 lacs.

SC / ST - only pass in the qualifying examination
Age : 17 years
