Nagaland Board of School Education

The board was set up on 15th of November 1973. This was set up basically by a resolution passed by the Nagaland legislative assembly. From 1st October 1974, Nagaland Board of School Education started its operation. The first high school leaving certificate of the board was provided in the year 1975. In the year 2008, the Nagaland Board of School Education has established their 6 examination centers. Total number of candidate appeared for the examination amounted to two thousand and eight candidates.

The effort in emerging own identity

Each board and the educational organization have to provide a great effort in order to set up their identity in the market. Nagaland Board of School Education has carried on with different strategies with the help of which they can make themselves known in the market. With this connection, series of training, workshop as well as seminars were organized. On 30th of March 1978, the state level curriculum committee of Nagaland Board of School Education led their series of workshop. The new curriculums which have been shaped by the organization have been approved further by the government on 12th of April 1979. The syllabus was also renewed in this respect for all the students studying in class IX and X.

Objective of Nagaland Board of School Education

There are several objectives which is been aimed by Nagaland Board of School Education. Some of them are prescribing courses and getting instructed for examination, publishing the result of external examination, adoption of reforms in the evaluation process of the examination. Nagaland Board of School Education has got the right to prepare the syllabus, text books as well as the approval of the courses.

Inspection about the school and different practices conducted by the management of the school is also one of the important objectives of Nagaland Board of School Education. There are many talented board members in Nagaland Board of School Education who provide an accurate guidance to the state government in the process of developing school education in the particular state. Providing perfect registration number for board exam is another objective.
